Seeing an outdated and clunky Steam mobile app was a bummer over the years. Now, finally, you can say farewell to that old version of the app because Valve has completely overhauled the app with modern features for Android and iOS.
Steam has completely redesigned the app with major updates. Today, iOS and Android users can download the latest app version from their respective stores. A couple of newly introduced features are a QR code scan to log in and two-factor authentication to make sure only you can access the account.
The ability to use a QR code for Steam Guard to scan and log in to your PC or steam account. Users no longer need a password, username or verification code. You simply scan a QR code with your phone, and the app will display a confirmation page to ensure that you approve your login and will be signed in automatically. A new, most useful authorized device page on the app allows you to sign out of Steam remotely if you forget to log out of someone else’s PC.
Players can now easily handle their downloads and updates directly from their phones and can access the store, game library, Steam Guard, community, notifications and news section from any location.
Finally, the new Steam app allows you to use multiple accounts on the same device. You can look into the Steam app’s revamped features in the list below.
