Today, a new update for Xbox series X and series S is launching, bringing new features for users to enjoy. This update follows the September update by precisely one month.
- With the October update, Microsoft claims it’s also including a “fan-requested” feature. With the help of this function, customers can select a silent startup process. They can now adjust their settings to start their Xbox with all muted noises. Current generation Xbox consoles have also gotten new features after this update. The much-desired “mute startup sounds” option is now available to Xbox Series X/S users.
- Additionally, users can customize the Xbox console’s power mode settings using new options. You can now change the TV volume within the Xbox guide’s audio and music section. The HDMI Consumer Electronics Control is now available to Xbox users (HDMI-CEC). If their TV supports HDMI-CEC, this new functionality enables users to change the TV volume within the Xbox guide.
- The Xbox mobile app for iOS and Android also received an update. The mobile app can now trim and edit clips for sharing.
- Additionally, you’ll see that a search bar has been added to the top of your console’s home screen, making it simpler to search the Xbox Store swiftly. Clip sharing to Medal is now available in the redesigned Xbox Game Bar for Windows PCs.
- Various bug fixes have also been provided for all current Xbox controllers and a fix for flight sticks that link to the Xbox Adaptive Controller.
- Xbox PIN and Xbox guest PIN are the new names for the Xbox passkey and guest key choices, respectively.
The complete list of updates and fixes on the Xbox website and social media platforms is now available.
