Bandai Namco and FromSoftware say that Elden Ring has been sold 20 million times around the world.Only a few days away from the game’s first birthday, on February 25, 2022, it surpassed the significant milestone.
Bandai Namco says that the 20 million number comes from shipping data for the game’s physical version and sales data for its digital versions, such as Steam. In a joint statement, the two organisations expressed their sincere gratitude to everyone who played the game and promised to keep creating new opportunities for fans to immerse themselves in the Elden Ring universe.
Elden Ring, which received widespread acclaim upon its initial release last year, went on to win Game of the Year at the Game Awards 2022. A December update to the game allowed players to access the numerous Colosseums that had been scattered over the world ever since it was first released.
In the update, the gates to the Colosseums of Limgrave, Leyndell, and Caelid were opened, letting players fight in PvP duels, free-for-alls, and team fights. In addition, FromSoftware disclosed during the Game Awards that it was developing a new Armored Core game. The first new Armored Core game in more than ten years (the most recent being Armored Core V back in 2012) is set to launch on PS5, Xbox One, and PC.
Elden Ring is a great game that still manages to capture the rush of finally beating a tough boss after a long fight. Players can go on adventures that can change a lot and take place in a large world with many different situations. Since its release on February 25, 2022, this game has been backed by fans and has shipped more than 20 million units globally, combining the development skills of FromSoftware with the marketing force of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s international network. Also, it has won other honours, such as “Game of the Year” at “The Game Awards 2022.” From the bottom of their hearts, the firms appreciate everyone who has played this game and promise to keep creating new methods for fans to have fun.
