The popular water cooling company EK announced an increase in the price of its products due to changing market conditions. In the issued statement, the company mentioned that the decision was not taken lightly rather it is forced due to the current market situation. Various factors like raw material sourcing difficulties, material prices, and labour costs caused this decision. This means that the prices of the products are raised in order to cover these expenses.
The price raise is about 8% and will be applied to the selected products or the product line which the company currently offers. The orders placed till March 2023 won’t be affected and these changes will be applied from April. The company however hasn’t shared the complete list of price adjustments yet.
EK is designing products for many popular brands in the market which include Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA. Customized monoblocks are present in many motherboards but a water block could be specially designed to fit perfectly in a custom GPU these days. The slightest variations from the reference design can eventually result in the need for the modification of the cooling device. This eventually makes the design more complex and increases the cost as well.
But it doesn’t end here as now multiple water-cooling options are available to PC enthusiasts which include Alphacool, Thermaltake, Bykski, Barrow, Optimus and water cool. Also, the graphic cards with preinstalled water blocks are available in the market but those are again often made by EK.
