It appears that Xbox Game Pass has just become more costly for those who intend to sign up to the service in the future.
For a long time, Microsoft made Game Pass Ultimate accessible for $1 for an initial month for those interested in giving the service a try, but it seems that Microsoft has now discontinued it altogether.
The company has not stated why this promotion has ended, but when browsing the website to sign up, this $1 deal is no longer stated anywhere. Instead, new Game Pass subscriptions will have to shell out the regular $14.99 price for the inaugural month, rather than the discounted price.
The Xbox Family and Friends tier has now been renowned for a long time, but no details on a release date or pricing were available, but it appears to be launching pretty shortly, as users have reported viewing adverts for said plan on the Xbox dashboard.
Though not officially confirmed, the price has infamously been leaked on the internet in New Zealand by Twitter user @Jawmuncher and has since been floating around the internet.
The plan appears to cost $39.95 for each month and will allow no fewer than five distinct family or friends to benefit from the features of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
This works out to $7.99/month instead of the standard $14.99. Users could come from the same residence or from different houses, and they can all use the service simultaneously without facing any problems.
Hopefully, the manufacturer won’t keep subscribers waiting too long, as there appear to be a great many individuals excited to try out the new tier.
Also now, some subscribers are contemplating whether the plan is worthwhile, although it’s clear that it won’t be ideal to everybody. That $39.95 monthly pricing may appear to be a bit expensive, yet it might be useful for parents with college-aged children or friends looking to save a few dollars.
