South Korean authorities have given the action game Street Fighter 6 a rating of 15. Having a rating doesn’t guarantee that the game will be released soon, but it does imply that fans may hear more about when the game can become available within the upcoming days.
Since Street Fighter 6 has just received its first rating, fans are eagerly awaiting news of a release date.
According to Capcom’s recent financial reports, the company only has one “major new project” planned for the greater part of its financial year: Resident Evil 4. Therefore it seems unlikely that Street Fighter 6 will be released before March 31, 2023.
Before the year closes, there is still The Game Awards 2022 to look forward to. Since E3‘s demise, The Game Awards has emerged as a major event, with many game developers opting to make big announcements there instead.
Now that Street Fighter 6 has been rated everywhere, it makes sense to disclose a new trailer and release date on December 8 at TGA 2022. However, please don’t get your hopes up because it’s all an assumption.
The Street Fighter 6 release date is still being determined, but the South Korean rating gives fans confidence that it will be soon that the game is available.
When compared, Horizon: Forbidden West was given its rating in November 2021 and released in February 2022, a span of three months. God of War: Ragnarök received its rating in May and was released six months later in November.
Capcom recently confirmed Street Fighter 6’s full roster, which includes all eight ‘World Warriors’ from Street Fighter II. Street Fighter 6 will be available on multiple platforms when it is released in 2023, including the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox X/S and PC.
