In March, Valve presents a list of the top 20 most popular games on its Steam Deck device, with some of the biggest games in the market maintaining their places.
One of the best gaming technologies of 2022 was the Steam Deck. Now, Valve has revealed the top 20 titles that gamers played in March, with some of the biggest releases holding onto their top spots.
Valve’s handheld may face fierce competition in the future with the Asus ROG Ally gadget under development and a portable system rumoured to be on the way from Sony. It appears that other businesses desire a piece of the mobile PC market.
The Nintendo Switch is currently being challenged by the Deck, which is currently in first place.
Hogwarts Legacy and Elden Ring were two of the most played games on the platform in February, according to a list published by Steam Deck. Since more and more games are becoming available on the system, more people will want to purchase the portable.
Now that March has passed, Valve has released a list of the top games for that month.
The games that were most frequently played on the Steam Deck in March 2023 are depicted in an image that was recently posted on Twitter.
Although not much has changed since February, the Resident Evil 4 remake has now been added to the list. Many people won’t be surprised by this because the game received a lot of publicity and is now doing well for Capcom across all platforms.
Since the list is sorted by the amount of hours played, even if RE4 is at number 20, it may go up the list as more people use it.
It’s also not shocking that several of the 2023 games with the highest ratings have returned, like the aforementioned Hogwarts Legacy. Hi-Fi Rush by Tango Gameworks is not on the list, which is odd given that it is Deck certified.
The rhythm-based action game, which was published earlier this year and currently has a Metacritic score of 89, was a surprise smash for Tango and its publisher Bethesda. It’s possible that the initial excitement has subsided or that it wasn’t adequately promoted for the Deck.
The Half-Life and Left 4 Dead studio truly outdid itself with its Steam Deck device, despite Valve’s troubled past with hardware. Gabe Newell and his crew will need to step up their game to keep their position in the mobile PC market, though, as some rivals are on the horizon.
