Intel 13th Gen Core Raptor Lake-S is based on a hybrid architecture that contains Performance and Efficient Cores, it got multiple boost technologies such as TVB (Thermal Velocity Boost) which boost up to 5.8 GHz, higher cores count, and higher ram memory.
So, we have the official spec sheet from Intel thanks to Igor’s LAB as per the official leaked spec sheet, the flagship Intel Core i9-13900K and 13900KF (No IGPU) can boost itself to 5.8GHZ by using Thermal Velocity Boost Technology while using MTP (Maximum Turbo Power) of 253W. i9-13900K and i9-13900KF will be featured as 24 cores (16 Efficient and 8 Performance Cores). Raptor Lake series CPU supports ideally DDR5 5600 or if u want you can use DDR4 3200 memory.
Intel i7-13700K will be featured as 16 cores (8 Performance and 8 Efficient Cores) with a boost clock of 5.4Ghz. But the Intel Raptor Lake i7 series got no support from TVB (Thermal Velocity Boost Technology) Compared to the i9 series as that Thermal Velocity Boost Technology seems like a dedicated technology limited to the i9 series. But the i7 series got the same maximum turbo power of 253W as the i9 series. Intel Core-i5-13600K and Core i5-13600KF will be featured as 14 Cores (6 Performance and 8 Efficient Cores) and can boost up to 5.1GHz.
As per these slides, with the introduction of the new generation, we got the new chipset Z790 platform which gives us higher memory support DDR5 and higher core count. Moreover, it got no extra support for any additional PCIe 5.0 lanes to its motherboard lineup as compared to its predecessor Z690. So, there is a good chance most Z790 series mobos will not support the PCIe 5.0 M.2 SSDs. Also, they reduced the lower PCIe 3.0 lane count at the cost of higher PCIe 4.0 lanes to 20.
Intel will announce this on 27 September 2022, at the official presentation that is now planned for the Innovation event.
