As we all know, Web3 gaming is booming all over the blockchain network. But, Zilliqa layer-1 network is taking it to another level with the launch of a new gaming console in the Web3 space.
They unveiled their first-ever prototype of this console. Zilliqa showcased a sleek design with numerous ports such as USB 3.0 connections, HDMI, USB-C, and Ethernet. They did not disclose the full specification of this console yet. But, they wanted to keep the UI user-friendly while using the Web3 capabilities. You can also add and use your included wallet with the addition of mining integration. They also claimed that this ‘hide the complexity of Web3 from the end user”.
Zilliqa’s claimed that their engineers spent more than six months in the research phase, designing and testing the console to integrate the seamless Web3 aspects of crypto wallet, mining software, and blockchain tech into the recognizable gaming console experience.
Zilliqa was founded in 2017 and launched two years later on the mainnet as a layer-1 smart-contract blockchain. They also joined the Blockchain Gaming Alliance (BGA) in April 2022, and forged partnerships with other esports teams such as MAD Lions, RRQ, and more recently Alien Worlds and XBorg.
Zilliqa’s partner with the Web3 organization XBorg can help them organize upcoming gaming tournaments and marketing endeavors and receive beta access to test Zilliqa’s gaming Hub in October this year.
As per the testing phase, this gaming console is scheduled to launch as early as the first quarter of 2023 with the joint release of Zilliqa native title first-ever console first-person shooter (FPS) game WEB3WAR.
