Three Witcher games, a Cyberpunk game, and a brand-new IP are among the five new games that CD Projekt plans to release as part of its long-term strategy. These projects are currently in the initial planning phase.
New trilogy Polaris (a code name for the upcoming game in the Witcher series), role-playing game Canis Majoris, Orion (the next Cyberpunk game), Hadar (a distinct IP) and Sirius (offers multiplayer gameplay on top of a single-player experience) are among the forthcoming additions, according to the information provided.
These projects will update “The Witcher” franchise with fresh multiplayer functionality. The Witcher trilogy is expected to be released gradually within six years.
CD Projekt was eager to discuss about expanding into multiplayer gaming while maintaining a focus on single-player experiences, switching from its technology to Epic‘s Unreal Engine 5, expanding into film, television, and mobile gaming, fostering a good and healthy work environment throughout its group of studios, and enhancing both the quantity and quality of its output.
In addition, it also disclosed a change which is about to take place in the leadership. According to them the joint CEO Marcin Iwinski is reverting to a non-executive role as board chairman.
